Christmas Concerts 2012

Yet again Sandal pupils wowed their families with their enthusiasm and acting skills as they performed in the Christmas concerts.

Each key stage put on a show to be proud of!

Foundation Stage Nativity

This year we did ‘Born in a Barn’ and everyone took part. It was a great success and enjoyed by all.

All the songs were sung with enthusiasm and had actions and everyone went up on stage in front of a sizeable audience. The majority of children had speaking parts too, they learned their lines and spoke them into a microphone… quite courageous if you’re just 3,4 or 5!

Key Satge Two Concert

When looking for Christmas decorations, two sisters find a strange book. The pages appear blank until a mysterious Story Guide appears with his 'eyes of revelation'. With the ability to time travel they unfold the story of Jesus’s birth and Mary and Joseph flee to Egypt to escape from Herod’s murderous plans.

Sandal has a proud history of producing Christmas concerts that go way-beyond the "typical" primary school nativities!

We are extremely fortunate to have an amazing stage with a modern sound and lighting system, that we can use to showcase the talents of our students.

All our pupils are involved in the productions; whether they are acting, singing, dancing, being stage crew, creating art work for backdrops or designing the programme.

Each year the staff and pupils work hard to produce entertaining performances that incorporate the story of Christmas within a lively show. Our performances are always “sell-outs”, demonstrating our parents enjoyment of the shows.
