Welcome to the
Reception page.
In Reception,
we learn through FUN, and everyday is exciting and stimulating.
We love
inviting people into class to support our learning - especially
during The Magic Carpet topic, when we learn about different
continents, countries and cultures.
In the Summer,
we go to
Hesketh Farm Park at Bolton Abbey as part of our work on The Carnival
of the Animals. We hold the guinea pigs, feed the lambs, go on
a tractor ride and much more besides. Most of us need a nap on
the coach on the way home!

Every week, a
child is chosen to take home the class mascot (Weekend Bear in RS or
Talking Teddy/Speaking soldier in RF). Our mascots have been
lucky enough to go swimming, bowling and even on holiday several
times! The children love telling the class about the
adventures they have had with our treasured toys.
We try to use
the Outdoor Area everyday to support our learning, so please dress
your child appropriately for the weather!
Finally, for
more information or to speak to a member of staff, please don't
hesitate to pop in anytime. We are always happy to chat and
offer support.
