Play Leaders

Our Play Leaders are a group of Year 6 pupils, who volunteer their time to support the younger pupils at lunch times. 

We have a large shed full of exciting play equipment that each class has a timetabled slot to use. Our Play leaders manage the equipment; making sure that the pupils have fun with the toys and look after them.

If the weather is poor and the children have an indoor play, the Play Leaders play with the pupils in the Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms. Being a Play Leader teaches our pupils important social skills and they provide a good role model for younger pupils and their peers.

The play equipment and storage shed were purchased with money raised by the Parent Partnership Group (PPG). Our School Council and the Play Leaders were asked to choose which toys and equipment they wanted to buy.
