We are constantly trying to improve the service and education we offer our families and pupils. Our over riding aim is for all staff to work towards all children reaching their full potential. To achieve this we foster strong links with our parents and the local community. We believe children need to be happy and active so their physical and creative development as well as their academic ability are important to us.

As well as 15 classrooms, we have an indoor and outdoor physical area for foundation stage (nursery and reception), an extra outdoor physical area for Key Stage 1, a Gymnasium, a Hall, Dining room, 2 art and craft rooms, ICT suite, Library, Music room and group rooms.

Extra-Curricular Activities
We offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Dance and ball skills are popular with younger children. Most of our activities start in Year 3 (8 years old) and upwards. They include musical activities (choir, recorders, orchestra etc.), sporting activities (badminton, football, netball, hockey, rounders, dance, tennis, table tennis, gymnastics, athletics and rugby) and other activities such as our Gardening Club are also very popular.

Yellow Bus
We operate a "yellow bus" scheme at Sandal. There is a dedicated bus which stops at bus stops along it's journey from the bottom of Baildon to the top each day before and after school. The bus has CCTV cameras, seat belts and an escort with a driver who has a list of children using it.
